Actually, I think that Libertarian Spain is an extremely interesting historical episode, tremendously inspiring in many ways. Crushed by fascists/communists/conservatives/phalangists/republicans/liberals/capitalist powers/Nazis/you name it, but an inspiring example, including a working, functional economic system controlled directly and democratically without private ownership of capital, and without bureaucratic central planning. This is definitely history you’re not supposed to know! Seventy years on, have we ever been any closer?
